Yes, if you have more than half of the banknote and the denomination and currency can be identified, we can usually exchange it. Taped banknotes are also accepted, as long as there are no doubts about their authenticity. In doubtful cases, our staff will advise you on the spot.

Of course! At Kantor Kurs, we also accept withdrawn banknotes, such as: – old U.S. dollars (e.g. series from before 1996), – old British pounds (e.g. paper £20 notes with Queen Elizabeth II), – old Swiss francs from previous issues. We will always advise you whether a given banknote can still be exchanged for a new one and to what extent.

We don’t use a fixed price list, as each case is unique. The valuation depends on: – the extent of the damage, – the face value of the banknote, – the currency and design version, – the possibility of further use. The best option is to bring the banknote to our exchange office – we’ll assess it on the spot and give you a fair offer.

These kinds of cases are nothing new to us! As long as the banknote still meets basic identification requirements (readable denomination, no signs of forgery), we can usually exchange it. Coffee stains, pen marks, grease spots, or even traces left by pets are not a problem. Our cashiers will assess the condition individually.
